Been a while

I guess this is the Infrequent Blog for a reason. I’ve been busy working and reworking my novel lately, which hasn’t left much time for blogging. On the positive side, I did manage to get my novel into three competitions this year.I’ve heard back from one so far (missed out) and should hear back from the other two later this year. Not expecting to win, but it’d be nice to make a short list. At least it’d be an indication about how it’s going.I’m currently preparing for Nanowrimo. Probably won’t be blogging much in November because of that, but you never know. Wish me luck!

Redraft finished!

Been away from the my website, blog, facebook, and twitter for a while now – barely had time to check in. Been busily redrafting the novel – and I think I’m finally done.
Now I’ve just got to edit for considtency and other internal errors, then proofread/line edit. Following that, maybe find a friendly reader or two who’s interested in offering feedback and hopefully on to publication. 🙂

Natcon 2013

I’ve just heard that Canberra will be hosting Natcon 2013, Australia’s National Science Fiction Convention – which will also double up as Canberra’s Conflux convention. Although it’s still early for too many details, the date has been set for April 25-28. Details will be appearing on www.conflux.org.au.

QWC/Hachette Manuscript Development Program

The QWC/Hachette Manuscript Development Program has just been launched again. I’m looking forward to taking another stab at it.
